Chris Morales

R&D Manager
Territory: Canada, United States

Noteworthy Credentials: B.S. Biology (Marquette University)

In his early days as a researcher in his university’s biology labs, Chris had the opportunity to study the genes that control circadian rhythms in rats. As a drummer himself, Chris was drawn to this biological metronome that sets the tempo for a rodent’s behavior – foreshadowing his future.

This experience led him to pursue a career in research and development for the pest control industry, and he has spent the past 12 years in Liphatech’s research department where he has amassed an impressive resume of experience. Throughout his tenure, Chris has worked on a number of products including developing TakeDown® II soft bait, Flatline® soft bait and inventing SoftSecure™ Technology (SST), a bait station device that secures soft bait and mini blocks.

Chris believes that learning is lifelong and scientific knowledge is ever-evolving, embracing the dynamic nature of the pest control industry with excitement and humility.

Chris’ passion to explore nature extends to his life outside of the lab as well. One of his favorite activities is hiking with his wife, Nicole, and dog, Nolan. Although he has since moved back to his home state of Wisconsin, he has fond memories of their time on the West Coast and recommends that everyone experience the Mars-like wonder of Joshua Tree at least once.

What Sets You Apart

“I enjoy breaking down the science into bite-size pieces and relaying historical test results. This gives our sales team and customers food for thought when addressing a peculiar rodent issue or question.”
