Growing up in an area of rural eastern Oregon where the cows outnumbered the people, Jon had more than his fair share of encounters with animals. This initially drew him to a career as a PMP and Wildlife Control Operator, where he dealt with squirrels, skunks, raccoons, coyotes, nutrias, beavers, rabbits, birds, bats and rodents.
After 8 years in the pest industry, Jon believes that experiential learning is an important part of professional development. In the early days of his career, he traveled around the Northwest and Southwest to train in various pest management techniques that helped him grow his skillset. More recently, Jon spent several years traveling the West, hosting and conducting specialized wildlife training. He values travel for growth in his personal life as well and has some impressive stamps in his passport, including a trip to Thailand where he trained in kickboxing.
His wide breadth of experience has allowed him to amass critical knowledge for controlling the pests in his territory. With one of Liphatech’s largest and most diverse sales regions, Jon is up for the challenge, putting his travels and experience to use – helping clients find lasting solutions.
Today, Jon continues to travel with his partner, Anna, and their 8-year-old son. Their destinations are not quite as exotic as Thailand, but Jon and his family love exploring the U.S., especially Old West ghost towns and other spooky attractions.

“I encountered a home with insane amounts of daytime rat activity – even on the interior. Targeted placements of TakeDown® II soft bait helped me crater the population within 10 days to start exclusion and take control of the situation.”
