Maintain facility equipment in good safe working order, perform repairs on production equipment and maintain building and grounds. Responsible for the training and supervision of maintenance personnel and contracted maintenance personnel. Performs a variety of highly skilled maintenance work (mechanical, electrical, plumbing and welding), PLC’s and plans for regular preventive maintenance on all critical equipment.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Comply with all Liphatech safety policies and procedures. In addition, comply with the 5S program on a daily basis.
Updates lock out/tag out procedures in conjunction with Safety department and conduct lock out/tag out training to equipment operators and maintenance staff.
Repair or contract to repair production equipment and other devices as required using appropriate suppliers/vendors.
Develop preventative maintenance programs as required.
Ensure that all preventative maintenance programs are being carried out and documented in preventative maintenance software program
Develops facility and equipment improvement proposals and submits them for approval.
Design and fabricate parts or new equipment as required.
Maintain an adequate inventory of parts and tools as required. Places orders for replacement parts as needed.
Procure outside contractors for repairs and projects beyond in-house expertise.
Oversee and direct general maintenance personnel.
Oversee and direct outside contractors for maintenance, cleaning and building and grounds
Acquire cost estimates for capital projects.
Manage the execution of capital projects.
Operation of forklift and scissors lifts.

Marginal Duties:
Maintain buildings and grounds as required.
Other duties as assigned.

Supervisory Requirements:
Carry out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization’s policies and applicable laws when needed.

Education and/or Experience:
High school diploma or equivalent.
Three (3) to Five (5) years’ experience as a maintenance supervisor with experience in direct supervision of a maintenance staff or team.
Previous plumbing, electrical, HVAC, welding, machining and carpentry experience required.
